It’s a symbol of passion, creativity, and hard work that she puts into playing guitar and previously violin in a symphony orchestra. It’s also a reminder that music connects us all. I’ve been listening to Guns n’ Roses since I was her age and now she’s playing their music and emulating Slash’s incomparable style. I wanted to capture his unique spirit and energy that you see when he plays live. Rendered in rich, textured brushstrokes, the painting captures that raw energy and rock 'n' roll spirit that Slash is known for. His curls are as iconic as his top hat, which I chose not to paint on him. He’s brought to life with a depth and vibrancy, while his effortless cool shines through in every detail.
